This is a great replica that really looks aged. I especially like the scabbard.
The look of the blade an handle is accomplished by some black color/ink. This is the only thing that could be improved: The black color stains your hands and the clothes it touches. I haven't tried the prop in action yet, but I can imagine that this gets worse when your hands are wet/sweaty. One might argue that this "dirt" looks even more like a pirate but I think it makes handling the prop harder since you have to be careful when you transport it (it stained my white t-shirt).
My solution will be to cover the wooden handle in tape and at least spray the handle with matt transparent varnish.

Moreover, I really want to highlight the great service at Magnoli Props - their staff has been very helpful in answering my questions and handling issues with the transaction.
