This set of nine letters written by "Silence Dogood", the pen name of a young Benjamin Franklin, is printed on A3 sized heavy-weight paper and aged entirely by hand. These letters, originally published in the New England Courant, were later used by Benjamin Franklin Gates to break an Ottendorf cipher found on the back of the Declaration of Independence.
